Lu Hui Tou means 'Deer Looking Back' I took these photos in China, 2006-2007. I taught English in Beijing for a year and a half, then spent a couple good months traveling by bicycle through the southwest provinces of Guizhou, Guangxi, and Yunnan.
Upon returning to the states, I met my husband and photographic partner Michael Julius. He was a paramedic in rural North Florida. We make picture stories together and other miscellaneous projects. We call this endeavor Myopic Pictures.
Everyone Leaves with Something Nice was tangentially inspired by, but not about, my (unintentional) year-long foray with un/under-employment, odd odd jobs, paid medical research, plasma "donation", and egg "donation" in various places throughout Florida, Texas, Arkansas, and Massachusetts. Take what you will.
My profession is teaching English as a Second Language. I travel about doing so, briefly living were there is work.
Miami efímero is from my 8 months of living in Miami, Florida in 2009.
Michael and I currently make our home in Yunlin County, Taiwan.

"Gofeetgo" because I like to go.
